History of Martial Arts Involvement

He learnt Yang style Taijiquan, Sword, Broadsword and fast barehand styles under the tutelage of Hu Dong Ling in the 1980's

He also learnt Taijiquan from Su Zifang, the State coach of the Singapore Wushu Federation, who is the 4the Generation Taijiquan Disciple of Yang Zheng Feng.

He became the disciple of Master Yang Zheng He and learnt the Monkey Style, Broadsword, Sword, Long Cudgel and "Tuishou" in Hebei Province, China
-
He had been assisting Master Yeo Wee Boon in promoting Yang Taiji styles and the Praying Mantis Style since the 1990's.

He has contributed greatly to the efforts in promoting Taijiquan in Singapore.

He was awarded 6th Tuan in Martial Arts by the International Union of Chinese Martial Arts Association, in Taiwan

In 1988, he won 4th placing in the Taiyuan Taijiquan Competition in Shanxi Province, China

In 1994, he won 5th placing in the Men's Open National Wushu Championship

In 1998, he won 6th Placing in the Men's Open Taijiquan and Taiji Sowrd National Wushu Championship

In 1999, he won 5th placing in Taiji Sword and Taijiquan, and 6th Placing in Taji Broadsword in the 6th Yongnian China International Taijiquan Competition.

In 2000, he passed and obtained the Chinese National Wushu Association's license.

In 2002, he was invited to participate in the International Taijiquan Demostration in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

In 2006, he was the champion in the Yang Style Taijiquan and the Runner-Up in Taji Sword in the 1st Taiwan International Taijiquan Championship.
