In 1960, he received his Black Belt in Korea Hapkido Martial Arts Soodeukkwan.

In 1969, he was honoured as the Chief of Grand Master in Soodeukwan

In 1969, he founded the first division Soodeukkwan of Korea Hapkido Martial Arts Headquarters.

In 1971, he received his Black Belt 7th Dan in Korea Hapkido Martial Arts Soodokwan

In 1972, he hosted the first Saemaeul Hapkido Martial Arts Competition.

In 1980, he became the holder of Black Belt 9th Dan in Hapkido.
