A TRIBUTE TO THE LATE BRUCE LEE(1940-1973)


BRUCE LEE JUN FAN was born in San Francisco, U.S.A. He began his training in the "Wing Chun Gung Fu System" in 1953 under Grandmaster Yip Man in Hong Kong.

In 1963, he opened his first school, "The Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute" in Seattle and later another one in Oakland in 1964.

In August 17, 1964 Bruce married Linda Emery and resided in Oakland. It was at this time that Bruce's own unique style, "Jeet Kune Do" was born. In 1970, he started to document his training methods and the philosophy of "Jeet Kune Do".

Between 1967 - 1971, Bruce appeared on various films and TV series, which included "The Green Hornet" as Kato. At the same time, he opened his third Gung Fu school in Los Angeles and gave private lessons to several Hollywood celebrities.

Bruce returned to Hong Kong in 1971 to appear in various films which included "The Big Boss" ("Fists Of Fury"), "The Chinese Connection", "The Way of the Dragon", "Enter the Dragon" and "Game of Death" (which he never completed). All his films achieve great success and established him as a Hong Kong superstar.

In July 20 1973, Bruce passed away in Hong Kong, leaving behind his wife Linda and two children Brandon and Shannon. He was laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery, Seattle.
