Started to learn martial arts at the age of 15 years old.

First, began to learn Tae Kwon Do under Reginald Walton and then continued his training with Kim Lee.

Later he further his studies in the following in martial arts:
  i . Masutatsu Oyama's Karate from Rick Fraiser.
  ii . Kung-Fu from Roland Tinkis
  iii . Northern Chinese Styles from The legendary Master Pui Chan.
  iv . Muay Tai Kick Boxing from Jim Bryan.
  v . Budojujitsu from The Legendary Al Thomas.

During the 1980's and 1990's, won the local, national an international weapons Competition

He also won the the World Championshios, Ed Parker's International Championships, Jun Chong's National Tae Kwan Do Championships, the Tournament of Champions, the Hawaiian Kajukenpo Championships, the New York State Championships, the Shito Ryu Championships, the California State Championships and the Vegas National Championship.

4 times winner of International Karate Championships (same tournament Chuck Norris won) Ed Parker's Long Beach Tournament
